Testing

Different types of tests are conducted according to international standards to check the integrity of the material and valve complying to Purchaser’s requirement.

Destructive Testing

  • Tensile Test
  • Impact Test
  • Brinell Hardness Tests
  • Vicker’s Hardness Tests
  • Rockwell Hardness Tests
  • Salt Spray Test
  • Holiday Test
  • Black Light Test
  • DFT Checking
  • Ferrite Check test
  • Hydrogen-Induced Cracking (HIC) Test, NACE TM0284
  • Sulfide Stress Corrosion Cracking (SSC), NACE TM 0177
  • Pitting Corrosion Test, ASTM G48 Method B Specification
  • Corrosion Test as per ASTM G 35 specification

Non Destructive Testing

  • Radiography Examination
  • Ultrasonic Examination
  • Magnetic Particle Examination
  • Dye penetrant Examination
  • Positive Material Identification
  • Co-ordinate Measuring Machine

Operational Testing

  • Torque test
  • Cycle Test
  • Antistatic test
  • Functional test of the valve along with the operator [Operator may be Hand wheel, Gear box or Actuators].
  • Fire Safe Test
  • Fugitive Emission testing by using Helium at inert gas.
  • Low Temperature Test – Pressure Testing at -450C
  • Cryogenic Test – Pressure Testing at -1960C
  • High pressure gas test, as per the requirements.

Process Monitoring

The whole manufacturing process of the valves are progressively and continuously monitored as per the written procedure by performing inspection and testing at various stages of the processes such as,

  • Customer requirement evaluation and monitoring
  • Checking of incoming raw materials and certification
  • Inspection of components during in process
  • Various Pressure tests
  • Functional tests
  • Non destructive tests
  • Final inspection of finished valves
