These valves are required to be operated to give assured leakage rates. These valves which are recommended to use below -50⁰C up to -196⁰C.

The main pressure containing components are treated with liquid nitrogen to stabilize dimensions and eliminate the stress caused by metal microstructure changes. Lip seals are used as a seals in these valves which are made up of different materials such as PTFE, KEL-F, etc, and it is self energized by an internal spring of stainless or Inconel alloy.
Camtech valves are inspected and tested In-House in accordance with BS 6364 to certify sealing performance in cryogenic conditions, when required by the customer.
